Privacy & Cookies Policy

Last updated: July 14, 2026

Around Town Paving ("we," "us," or "our") is a service-area paving contractor based in Concord, NC that operates aroundtownpaving.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or contact us, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully. By using the Site or submitting information to us, you acknowledge the practices described here. We aim to comply with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws and, for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you call us, send a text or photo, fill out a contact form, request a free estimate, or apply for a job, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, property address, ZIP code, and details about the work you'd like done. We use this information to respond to your request and provide the services you ask about.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our analytics and advertising providers may collect: IP address (truncated where required), device/browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location, and interactions such as clicks and form submissions. This is used to improve the Site and measure the performance of our advertising.

Please do not send us sensitive information. We only need basic contact and project details to help you. Please do not submit sensitive information — such as Social Security numbers, financial account or card numbers, or health information — through the Site. If you send it to us anyway, you do so at your own risk.

2. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:

  • Strictly Necessary — required for the Site to function (security, basic page navigation, form submission). These cannot be disabled.
  • Functionality — remembers your preferences (such as dismissed popups) to improve your experience.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5LSYP6BLCC) helps us understand which pages and services are most useful.
  • Advertising — Google Ads conversion tracking (ID AW-18124215756) measures ad performance and helps us show relevant ads on other sites.

We track three on-site interactions as conversion events: call_click (taps on a phone number), form_submit (any form submission), and gbp_click (clicks to our Google Business Profile or directions link). Each event includes the page path and the source/section where it was triggered — never any of the information you typed into the form.

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, advertising and analytics signals default to denied until you make a choice. For visitors elsewhere (including the United States), defaults are set to granted consistent with applicable opt-out frameworks; you can opt out at any time using the cookie banner or the link below.

3. How We Use Information

  • Responding to estimate requests, contact inquiries, and job applications.
  • Scheduling and providing the services you request.
  • Contacting you about your inquiry, project, or account by phone, text, or email.
  • Measuring how our marketing and advertising perform.
  • Improving site content, navigation, and user experience.
  • Protecting the Site, preventing fraud or abuse, and complying with legal obligations.

4. Text Messaging & Phone Communications

If you call us, text us, or share your phone number — including through our text-a-photo feature — you agree that we may contact you by phone call and text message at that number about your inquiry, estimate, or project. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.

You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or ask us to stop contacting you by emailing the address below; we may keep a record of your request so we can honor it. We are not responsible for charges your mobile carrier may apply.

5. Online Estimates & Site Content

Any pricing, ballpark figures, promotional offers, or estimate tools shown on the Site are provided for general informational purposes only. They are preliminary and non-binding, and they do not constitute a formal quote or a contract. Actual pricing and scope depend on an on-site assessment and a written proposal.

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not represent that the information on the Site is complete, current, or error-free, and your use of the Site is at your own discretion and risk.

6. Legal Bases (EEA / UK Visitors)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:

  • Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Legitimate interests — for operating and securing the Site.
  • Performance of a contract / pre-contract steps — for handling estimate and service requests.
  • Legal obligation — where required by law.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with service providers that help us operate — for example, Google (analytics and advertising), our email delivery provider, and our hosting provider — and only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to a lawful request, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of others, and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or sale of assets.

8. Data Retention

Estimate and contact inquiries are retained for as long as needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period thereafter for recordkeeping, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, or as otherwise required by law. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You provide information to us at your own risk and are responsible for keeping any details you share with us confidential.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

The Site may link to third-party websites and services — for example, our Google Business Profile, mapping and directions providers, or social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing information to them.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to request a copy in a portable format; to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws (such as California's) define "sale" or "sharing" broadly to include certain advertising cookies; you can opt out of these using the cookie banner or a recognized opt-out preference signal. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity before we respond, and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

12. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

13. International Transfers

We are located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

14. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

15. Governing Law

Except where a mandatory privacy law of your jurisdiction applies, this policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
