What You'll Do

• Spread, rake, and lute hot-mix asphalt to proper grade and depth
• Set forms, edges, and joints; run hand tampers and walk-behind compactors
• Keep the job site clean, organized, and safe — every day
• Support equipment operators with prep, cleanup, and material handling

What We Need

• Reliable transportation and on-time, every-time work ethic
• Comfortable working outdoors in NC summer heat and cold mornings
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand/walk a full shift
• 1+ year on a paving or construction crew preferred (will train the right person)

What You'll Do

• Operate track or wheeled paver to spec mat thickness and crown
• Coordinate with screed crew and roller operator for tight, smooth mat
• Daily pre-trip inspection, lubrication, and minor field adjustments
• Communicate with foreman on mix temps, truck timing, and grade changes

What We Need

• 3+ years operating asphalt pavers (Cat, Volvo, Roadtec, or similar)
• Strong understanding of mat depth, crown, and joint construction
• Mechanical aptitude — comfortable troubleshooting in the field
• Clean driving record

What You'll Do

• Operate vibratory and static rollers behind the paving train
• Hit target densities while protecting joints and edges
• Daily inspection, fluid checks, and reporting issues to the foreman

What We Need

• 2+ years roller experience on commercial paving jobs
• Understanding of mat temperatures and rolling patterns
• Dependable, safety-first mindset

What You'll Do

• Site demo, milling cleanup, base prep, and stone placement
• Load trucks, move materials, and grade to string line or laser
• Daily equipment inspection and basic field maintenance

What We Need

• 2+ years on skid steer and/or compact track loader
• Ability to read grade stakes; laser-level experience a plus
• Mini-ex or loader experience strongly preferred

What You'll Do

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT standards
• Load, transport, and dump materials safely on active job sites
• Maintain driver logs and communicate ETAs with the foreman

What We Need

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with clean MVR
• Tri-axle / tandem dump experience preferred
• DOT medical card current
• Professional, customer-friendly attitude

What You'll Do

• Run daily toolbox talks, set the pace, and keep the crew moving
• Coordinate trucks, materials, and subs; solve problems on the fly
• Verify grade, depth, and density meet our standards before sign-off
• Be the on-site face of Around Town Paving with the customer

What We Need

• 5+ years asphalt paving experience, 2+ in a lead/foreman role
• Strong leadership, scheduling, and communication skills
• Able to read site plans and grade sheets
• Clean MVR; CDL a plus

What You'll Do

• Prep surfaces (blowing, edging, oil-spot priming)
• Spray and squeegee seal coat to spec coverage
• Lay parking stalls, ADA stencils, arrows, and fire lanes with line stripers
• Care for the paint rig, sprayer, and small tools daily

What We Need

• Steady hands and pride in straight, sharp lines
• Seal coat or line-striping experience preferred (will train the right person)
• Comfortable on knees, bending, and standing all day

What You'll Do

• Cut and shape sub-grade to plan / laser elevations
• Place and compact aggregate base
• Install or adjust drainage tie-ins as needed
• Support operators with grade checks and stake work
